"I sometimes wonder if you get to an age where death is a blessing...'
This was my first encounter with Gina Kirkham's work. After the book "Murders at the Rookery Grange Retreat", I would like to read her other novels. I experienced a lot of different emotions here. I laughed, I cried, and I was often terrified. The author created brilliant dialogues. I liked Hilda's comments. You must get to know them. She knows how to throw her friends off balance. I liked the character who is now president of the Winterbottom Women's Institute and caretaker of the village library - Prunella. You will learn her name when you read this novel. I also met her fiancé, who has his hands full. All this thanks to the Dark Angel, who works intensively in the Rookery Grange Retreat house. Older people who need help live there. What's going on there? This case will be solved by energetic old ladies from the Four Wrinkled Dears: Hilda, Ethel, Milli and Clarissa. Will their mutual friend Winnie's life be in danger? You will find answers to these and many other questions while reading "Murders at the Rookery Grange Retreat". I was terrified by the Dark Angel's behaviour. I was worried about the lovely old ladies. I liked them very much. Such women are a real treasure. The book drew me into its story from the very beginning. I absolutely wanted to know the ending. The ending surprised me a bit. This story is quite a good crime story, or rather a crime comedy. I hope that in some time we will hear about energetic old people again. Good action, an interesting plot and controversial characters - all this you will get by reading this novel. It's worth reading.
