Żałuję, że nie natrafiłam na tę książkę na wcześniejszym etapie mojego życia. Jeszcze bardziej jednak żałuję, że nie będzie nam więcej dane przeczytać rzeczy, które wyszły spod ręki Nayi. "Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up" okazało się być całkiem sporym zaskoczeniem. To zabawna, szczera, mądra książka, która przede wszystkim nie ucieka od poruszania w niej kontrowersyjnych tematów, takich jak chociażby aborcja. Zazwyczaj podchodzę dość sceptycznie do wydawania biografii (choć w tym przypadku jest to raczej zbiór wspomnień, opowieści z różnych etapów życia) kiedy autor jest w młodym wieku bądź dana postać wciąż żyje. Naya pokazuje jednak, że ma do przedstawienia więc niż niejeden 80-latek. Lista podsumowująca, których rzeczy żałuje i tych, których by nie cofnęła to strzał w dziesiątkę. Rivera z właściwym dla siebie humorem i sarkazmem ostrzega nas jakich błędów się wystrzegać i jak je rozwiązywać. W odświeżający sposób opowiada także o swojej relacji z religią. Dla mnie, wciąż dość młodej osoby książka ta daje nadzieję, że nigdy nie jest za późno, aby osiągnąć wymarzony cel i z chęcią wrócę do niej za parę lat. Tym bardziej ubolewam, że w dalszych latach nie będę już mogła poznać życiowych porad i wskazówek Nayi Rivery. Ciekawy dodatek może stanowić również audiobook, który czyta autorka.
