Intended to stimulate appropriate patterns of clinical thought in medical students, this guide tackles important medical and surgical topics from a problem-orientated angle, using case scenarios which encourage critical thinking and problem-solving. Presented with a comprehensive selection of important medical and surgical scenarios, the reader is taken through 66 case histories step-by-step, and is asked to interpret a broad range of medical data. Comprised in line with current teaching trends in student teaching, the case sudies covers all common and important problems faced by the newly-qualified doctor in the casualty department, on wards and in out-patients.
