Jump cut - opinie o książce

Wow! "Jump cut" is an amazing and at the same time very creepy story. This book was written by Helen Grant. It was my first reading encounter with her work. After this story, I already know that I must check out her other works.

While reading "Jump cut" I literally had goosebumps. The time of day in which I read it made an additional sensual impression. I read this book in the evening and at night. I literally felt the same way as the main character. She is Theda Garrick. The girl recently buried her beloved husband. She still can't come to terms with it. However, seven months have passed since his death, and she needs to get back on her feet. She will be writing a book about Lillian Velderkaust's lost first film, which is titled "The Simulacrum." She shot it in 1930. The main roles were played by Miss Mary Arden and a mysterious man. Who is he? You will find out by reading "Jump cut". Personally, I would never want to meet him in my life.

Miss Arden is now 104 years old. For her age, she is in quite good shape. She loves to manipulate people. She is an emotional vampire. She sucks the energy out of people. She can make a person confess and reveal their deepest secrets. Will our Theda be able to communicate with her? What secrets are both ladies hiding?

I can honestly tell you that I didn't like Miss Arden. Her presence made me shiver. I was terrified of what she was doing. Such a creepy old lady. You wouldn't want anything to do with her. I deeply wondered why she chose Theda to write a book about her and this lost film. What was it about this film that made everyone want to own it or even see it?

Is this job worth the price? Was it worth giving up everything to find out about this film?

Imagine a mansion that is over ninety years old, with an old woman over a hundred years old and her maid in it. Would you like to live with them? If you answered yes, be careful. Every night, someone tries to get into your room. What do you say now? Do you believe in the existence of ghosts? Are you afraid of scary stories?

If you like creepy novels, you've come to the right place. There is something to be afraid of here. This is a terrifying story.

Take care of Miss Arden. The old woman squeezes out of our heroine her most painful secrets related to her deceased husband. And what will she get out of you?
The ending of the whole story is quite interesting. You must get to know them.

I recommend "Jump cut" to all fans of horror movies and scary stories.
