Seattle, 2066 – a city on the brink of collapse.
Dr. Neele had hoped to leave the shadows of her past behind. For the past four years, she has worked tirelessly in the research lab of the towering Holster Skywards Tower, which dominates Seattle’s skyline. But just before completing a groundbreaking new development, she makes a gruesome discovery that pulls her into a deadly conspiracy – one deeply tied to the sudden death of her brother sixteen years ago. Driven by scientific curiosity and personal grief, she follows the trail of a decades-old secret that goes far beyond anything she could have imagined. As she searches for answers, she is forced to confront the painful question: Was her brother’s death really an accident?
At the same time, Simmons and Marsh, two seasoned detectives who usually work cold cases, are unexpectedly assigned a fresh investigation. In the dark, drug-ravaged streets of the Old Medical District, the murder of an elderly couple draws them into a shadowy underworld where crime and death are everywhere. With every step in their investigation, they sink deeper into a web of lies and violence that threatens to tear the city apart from within. In a city whose downfall has been planned for decades, Simmons and Marsh must ask themselves: Is it their duty to fight for a dying city, or do they risk becoming part of its decay in their attempt to stop the inevitable?

" [...] Let no strangers into the city. And if you do, only in pieces... [...]"
"Fragment" by J. L. Litschko is a very engaging science fiction novel with elements of crime and thriller.
It presents a very apocalyptic and dystopian atmosphere.
Here we move forward and backward in time.
I was amazed by the variety of fonts used in this book.
I think it's the first time I've encountered something like this.
Your attention is also worthy of the great illustrations created by Davide Di Donna.
They attract attention and perfectly reflect the content of this story.
Here I met, among others:
- Dr. Neele, who wants to discover the truth behind her brother's death.
Sometimes the truth is painful.
Lots of conspiracies and dangers await her. Will she make it out alive? I liked this character.
- Detectives Simmons and Marsh.
They will not be idle either, but will be very busy. They will not be afraid to use firearms. An unsolved case will spiral them into an incredible and dangerous vortex.
The time of this novel is, among others, the year 2066. The setting is, among others, Seattle.
This book is packed with amazing action and twists.
I'll tell you right away that it's worth reading to the end.
There is no time for boredom here.
Can you save a lot of lives by going back in time?
Can you lose yourself by going back in time and fixing the world?
Would you like to go back in time and get rid of war criminals before they became them?
I recommend "Fragment" to all lovers of Sci-fi novels and advanced technology.
I hope that soon we will read another novel by J.L. Litschko on a similar topic.
Who will they have to get rid of this time?
