ESource-Prentice Hall's Engineering Source-provides a comprehensive, customizable introductory engineering and computing library. Featuring over 25 modules and growing, ESource allows professors to fully customize their textbooks through the ESource website. Professors are not only able to pick and choose complete modules, but also custom-build a freshman engineering text that matches their content needs and course organization exactly! All examples are now distinct and de-coupled from other example threads in the text. The sometimes cumbersome, continuous thread based on the "Peak Performance" design competition in the previous editions has been removed. The car design competition now appears as a single example only. Examples, design problems,  and case studies are now drawn from a wide variety of applications and engineering disciplines. The subject of Project Management is now covered in its own, greatly expanded chapter. An extended section on the legal aspects of engineering has been added to the text.  Sections on graphing, plotting, standard (SI) units, specification sheets, and significant figures have been added to the chapter on  Engineering Tools. An expanded section on writing Journal Papers has been added to the chapter on Communication.
